Chippenham Aikido Club
Since 1957.

The Traditional Aikido practised at the Olympiad Leisure Centre is non competitive, non confrontational and is used as a basis for both physical and spiritual development.

The Club is structured around a Nationally recognised grading syllabus for those who require it, but it is not compulsory. The instructors who teach range from 5th Dan to 2nd Dan Black Belts, with many years experience and Nationally recognised coaching certificates from the British Aikido Board (BAB), the UK governing body for Aikido. All Instructors are fully CRB checked and insured.

In connection with the Charitable Organisation, the Devizes Budo Club (founded 1957), we have always provided gradings free of charge apart from brown and black which have a nominal admin charge because of their national venue requirement.

Classes on Mondays 7:30pm > 9:00pm
And Wednesdays 7:45pm > 9:15pm

The Way of the Warrior has been misunderstood. It is not a means to kill and destroy others. Those who seek to compete and better one another are making a terrible mistake. To smash, injure, or destroy is the worst thing a human being can do. The real Way of a Warrior is to prevent such slaughter – it is the Art of Peace, the power of love.

Morihei Ueshiba - Founder, Aikido.
